Has anybody thought about how the 991 GT3 would look with the rear valence painted in the body color? A photoshop job would be cool to see.

You can order the car with"GT3" deleted, but you'll have to peel off the "P O R S C H E" letters after it's delivered.

Wish it weren't horribly poseurish to paint the wheels red to match the red calipers.. On a grey or blue or white car it looks awesome.. But then RS owners would laugh and point at the otherwise awesome red wheels

So when I in the dealer on Saturday, two cars were parked side by side. Rhodium and Polar. Now, I"m not a silver person by Rhodium looked fantastic! It has a 'pop' that makes it stand out (for silver). Possibly even a proper color for the GT3.

The complaints about Rhodium being too 'blue' didn't make any sense to me. Maybe under fluorescent lights, but not in the real world.

Do you have something to support that?
Every Rhodium's brightness I've seen, doesn't drop off when the light is off center as it does on this car.
And every GT Silver I've seen does.

Note below how the Rhodium car remains bright silver off center and the GT is bright on the reflection but drops off away from it.

A432, I have no definitive proof that the car in the pictures is Rhodium Silver but the Rhodium Silver cars that I have seen in differing lighting conditions have appeared to look like Polar Silver (My 993 was Polar Silver), Platinum Silver and even GT Silver depending on the time of day and angle of the sun. I have even seen one as it was driving by that looked like Liquid Silver (Mercury).

A very interesting colour that my current order is sitting at until I get confirmation that I can get PTS..

FYI:
No PTS for the GT3 untill at least 2015.
I asked it at Porsche Exclusive in Zuffenhausen, when I was there a couple of weeks ago for my own PTS order and that is what they said...

Not sure if they were talking about MY2015 or the actual year 2015...

Suzy,

I'm in Canada and my SA and Porsche Canada know that I am interested in doing PTS. Since the PTS colours I'm considering are already approved for the 991, my SA who have done a number of PTS cars, think it may only be a month or 2 delay once the PTS window opens which maybe early 2014 from what we are hearing...Nothing confirmed at this point but I have given up my #1 allocation for a February/March built in hopes of this...

Also, PTS is now showing up in the US Configurator with a 6 month delay which Canada usually follows shortly after. Here's hoping...

That's good news indeed. Then they gave me (again) wrong information. They do miss-communicate a lot over there. Unfortunately I experenced that myself already.

And if anyone can confirm why that color is... It truly looks fantastic with that combo. Red wheels ftw!
