GT3 Canadian Pricing
I see that we are expected to pay a $18,400 penalty for being Canadian, man this is getting tiresome.

Sure sucks....:banghead:
Need to :biggulp: more to ease the pain... |
yup, it really sucks.
I thought that problem was by and large solved. Perhaps the standard equipment is differant..?
6.1% duty is in there
^ As is the import duty in the US pricing. There is hope with the new free trade agreement with the EU the car duty might be reduced or eliminated. Personally I won't buy in Canada because of this price discrepancy.
Yes, fingers crossed for the "upcoming" FTA.
FTA may help. There is also the content issue. For the past 4 years or so, Canadian cars have had more standard equipment than US versions as partial (I do mean partial) compensation for the higher prices here. Thank heaven we don't pay euro prices!
Canada tax is a rip off.
Hopefully free trade with E.U comes sooner then later. I know people who buy stateside with the cdn money and leave the car registered in the usa. |
The base price in Germany is $180k and my 991 GT3 spec in the UK is $165k ... consider yourself fortunate!
Oh, Canada
The Canadian configuror is up...Spendy...I'm up to $165,000 not including tax..

I think as Canadians we are just use to taking it and we do nothing about it! 18k difference is a bit excessive!
when I purchased my .2RS in 2010, the US base price was 132K, while Can base price was 163K.
when the 911 club coupe came out in 2006, the US price was 99K, while Can price was 149K. the price discrepancy is much less already. But yes, I agree that with free trade, our price should be identical for the same product. |
