I think the rear wing in the spy pics is the final one. Look at the integrated brake lights...

U can't see crap with above new cup mirrors only if other cupcar next to u- that's
pretty much it. Needs to be extended more. Mike

I'm sure it's closer to what 911Slow originally showed in his "spy" pics. Makes sense, since the most of the exterior seems like an evolution of the current GT3.

Maybe it's just a factory Aero kit piece (pic doesn't show the correct ram air engine lid)

I really dont get what is all the bitching and whining about. John thanks so much for all the info and links.

This looks to be an awesome car and a great fun track car. Technology moves forward even though we some times LIKE to stick to our old ways.

I wish I could afford this one, PDK or not a 9K rpm flat 6 whaling in the back will be something to feel/experience and if it would afford me ,with my 2 left feet, to focus on becoming a better driver on the track, be able to better throttle balance, brake smoother and deeper, then so be it. I'll take it!

And i will still be driving my pseudo RS 993 with its manual gearbox on a twisty road.

When is the last time an F1 or any other serious formula or sports race car ( not Nascar) used an H pattern gearbox?

Crickets in response to my request for details in that thread.

The owner's reputation or his supposed maintenance schedule is not material, pics and details are the facts worth knowing

Had I not spent many years living in the south, I would have otherwise taken "son" to be derogatory. But I know you meant it as a term of endearment

It's the engine that really interests me.

911Slow,
does our brilliant RL source have anymore details, or are we now just waiting for Geneva?

Thanks!

I believe you that it happened, but why and what happened? Just because he had a good maint schedule does not mean he cant have a brain fart and forget to lock a wheel.

Cant wait to at least see the bottom of the engine, I wonder what the RS flat 8 redline will be. Must be some noise at 9000RPM.

Pete, BTW that battery you sold me is awesome, you were right.
It shut down a few times now, hit the button, boom starts right up!
Saved my *** again from having to jump the car.

Probably the same as the flat 6. Here's to hoping.

Trakcar you are so full of CL !!!

I have seen you changing wheels, it takes forever.

Do you want to challenge me on who can change wheels faster, torqued to specs?

My Cayman 5 lugs vs. your Aero Beetle, loser pays for drinks. All four corners.

My tools: 1 Floor Jack, a 1/2" torque wrench, a 1/2" Cordless Impact Wrench, (2) 19mm sockets, a pair of gloves, and my iPhone StopWatch.

Even better, I bet two 4-wheel changes against you single set attempt, 2 bar tabs. No help from anyone, no prep work either.

Are you in?

Hmmm...I wonder if THIS is the GT3, with a lightly modified 9A1 under the lid...and the original subject car of this thread...including the details...new engine, etc...is the RS?
