991.2 GT3RS ride too hard ?
There is growing evidence from this forum and road testers, that stiffening the 991.2 GT3 RS suspension by circa 60% vs 991.1 GT3 RS has made the 991.2 GT3 RS ride, way too harsh, comments pls ?

far from it. it's stiff, but somehow I find it very comfortable. the dampening is just so well tuned that it always feels well controlled. I would call the ride firm, but not harsh.
having said that, a lot probably depends on the quality of the roads you drive on. I live in Chicago, and while that's not as bad as NY, I still find the RS to be very liveable

I'd say you'll be good in CH if it rides well in Chi town
(Switzerland has the most wonderful roads I've ever driven on, aside from speed laws. Chicago, not so much )

Then develop your own maps. I have a race map, a street map and a rain map. On the street and rain maps, my .2 GT3RS ride better on the streets than my 991.1 GT3 RS did.
Now stock vs. stock, the 991.2 GT3 RS is not as street friendly as the 991.1.
Front went 222% stiffer, rear 33%, no idea where that 60% is coming from.

I find that putting PASM in sport mode in RS makes it better damped, feels a little underdamped/bouncy in regular setting.
It's stiff but not as stiff as Alfa 4c (launch edition with race suspension ...)

So far, I don't think the RS is that stiff. But it's all subjective. Before I bought my .2 GT3 everybody on this forum told me it would be way too harsh and rough and stiff and I'm gonna have kidney problems because of it. It was a load of BS. Both my GT3 and the RS feel fine to me. And that's on horrible California/San Francisco roads riddled with pot holes and cracks. Do these cars feel like luxury SUVs? No. But they are not bone/kidney crushers either.

It is a wonderfully visceral driving experience, but no question it is really stiff. Rough roads/bumps unsettle the car. If you know how to drive the hops, skips and jumps won't unsettle you, but you need to drive it with attention and engagement, at least when pushing it. It really is a racecar for the street.

Then dampers in the .2s feel much more competent at dealing with variety of surfaces to me. Stiff but not painful. Its subjective, I also prefer sport mode to comfort in the .2s, just feels like that tuning was what the car was designed around. I also miss the way the 997s kind of beat you up a little bit so I might have a higher pain tolerance than most.
