Default GT3 Engine Deposits?

As most other direct injected engines these days are known to accumulate carbon deposits, wondering if anyone has actually seen a GT3 engine apart, to visually evaluate deposits on piston crowns and in combustion chambers? If so, could you post photos? Actually photos of GT3 engine internals of any type would be highly interesting to look at, as I've never seen one of these engines apart....

Anyone have any photos they can post that show the innards of a GT3 engine, and perhaps the deposit profile inside combustion chambers?

Bro, most people don't even drive these cars more than 1,000 miles in their lives, let alone pull the engines apart. A GT3 with 6K miles is considered run into the ground by many. And you're not going to see any engine deposits at that low of a mileage. If you want to see deposits and buildup, you want to look at an engine with like 80,000 miles. But nobody drives their GT3 that much.

Regardless of deposits, I'd just love to see what one of these engines looks like apart....

The shots from BBI are nice. The engine's chain is super beefy, wow!

Should be an option for Titanium chain (probably makes it feel like a lightweight flywheel without destroying the main bearings)

This is what my combustion chambers looked like at around 9800 miles (2015 9A1 F motor GT3)

If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason to work on the engine in this way?

Now that's interesting... What about the intake valves, any deposits on them?

I think those two larger circles in each cylinder are the intake valves. Or were you wondering about the other side of them?

Deposits form on intake valves on the back (inlet) side, not shown in this photo.

You're the exception and your GT3 must basically be trash, you'd have to pay somebody to take it of your hands in the future.

It was suspected a catalytic converter failed and broke apart, which some remnants found their way into the cylinder. The dealer was asked by Porsche NA to inspect they cylinder bores so they pulled the head. I'm skeptical that was the root cause of my engine issues as I believe it was just the finger follower issue that plagues some .1 GT3s.

You know, I didn't think to take a picture inside the intake ports unfortunately. Really wish I grabbed more pics!
