991.2 GT3 vs GT3 RS Ride Height
Hello All
Nice to meet you
I am considering adjusting the ride height on my 2019 .2 GT3, and was thinking about a slight drop to RS Spec.
Anyone tried this?
Anyone know how much I would need to drop it?
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Yes. Getting an alignment to increase negative camber as well as lowering 10mm will make a noticeable difference.

The RS runs more rake than the standard GT3, because it has a 1 inch larger rear wheel, with a tire diameter that is over 1 inch larger than rear of GT3. Front tire is also taller, so when you lower the GT3, it actually sits lower than an RS.
So trying to use RS chassis ride height numbers is pointless. Just lower the car about 5 -15mm, or to visual taste (to reduce fender gap) and you'll be fine. If track performance is your goal, I'd add some rake if possible, as it helps the car turn better as well.

Just be careful about hitting the curbing hard with a lowered car - increases the chances of a strut tower failure...

I actually added a little rake by raising the rear because the gap in the rear is smaller than the front. Most do the opposite. I didnt want to slam the car and I prefer the look of an even gap all around the tire.

I have a 991.2 GT3 and the ride height is absolutely perfect. Nice and low. I think the suspension on the GT3 991.2 is underrated and better than any sports car I have ever owned.
