Default can you swap a 991.2 gt3 engine
does anyone know if you can swap a 991.2 911 gt3 engine into a 991.1 911 carrera 4s cabriolet

You’d have to also swap in the gearbox or the ratios will be all wrong (and entire computer systems will be a mess)...

And there is no such thing as a GT3 gearbox that can drive AWD system of a C4S...

You'd be WAY ahead to just buy a GT3...

And don’t forget that the cost of a .2 GT3 crate engine is super steep ($70k?) and its gearbox (pdk-s or manual) must be pricey too. I agree if you want a drop-top get a Speedster and if you need a drop-top NA AWD, get a Lamborghini...

The new 718 Spyder has A 4.0 but not THE 4.0

Uh yeah, it’s called the Speedster. Has basically same engine as the GT3/ RS. Currently on sale.

Yes, 2020 or 21 speedster model arriving

Otherwise, take your 3.8 in the 991.1 and bore out to 4.0 then rebuild tranny to 6 speed if 6 speed is preferred

so cheaper for you to rebuild your motor than swap.

another option is to cut the roof off a 911R.
