991.2 GT3RS Front Fenders fit on 991.1 GT3RS?
 

Does anyone know if the 991.2 GT3RS Front Fender Trims fit the 991.1 GT3RS?

I know a few of you have expressed your interest in retrofitting this. Good news is, I have successfully done it and shared all of the information with JCR, he will be looking at bringing this to market soon.

Does it look like it lets more air flowing from the wheel well though? The .1 RS ones have a plastic section (not the mesh, but a part that is closer to the lower part of the vent adjacent to the hood) that blocks some air.

Oh wow. So there are some modifications you need to do? Can you share all the information here?

Looking at the Porsche parts bin, only the louvers, tapping screw and speed nut has different part number between get1 and gen2 all other components are the same.

Kaboobie is right, it also took someone to be the first one to attempted it.

Apart from what has been stated, basically the .1 air exhaust (louvres) are glued to the CF fenders, when removing it will be damaged or broken. So you don’t get to keep them anymore.

Reverse to install, the .2 air exhaust (louvres) then plug and play into the CF fenders. A little bit of glue should be applied to hold them in place to the CF fenders, not a must, just my recommendation.

And then you will have .2 air exhaust (louvres) like me on your .1 3RS.

Nice, I'm planning to replace the whole bonnet and louvers. The pipe to cool the brake is a bit tricky to figure out. Did you do the bonnet too or just the louvers?

I have the same plans as you.

I’ve bought the .2 3RS bonnet from RShanholtz and buying the bits and pieces from Suncoast for the brake ducts to work.

What makes you think the ducting is tricky? These are the parts Suncoast recommended I should get, however I am not getting #1 #2 #3 #4 at the moment as I will try and figure out whether my OEM ones can be cut once I have the rest of the ducting pieces in place.

If you look where there pipe are hooked up, there is only one place at the new mud guards and nowhere else. I wonder if there are other place to secure it. That’s also why I think you would need the new mud guard. Since there is a hole on each side at the front I think the wind flow/aero will be affected some how so I also prefer not to have the holes but looks like I have no choice. Will have to look into that at the time of the installation.

I hear you, because I haven't seen the .2 3RS mud guards myself and can't tell from the parts diagram, I've elected not to buy #1 and #3 which are a tat expensive at $900 a pair from Suncoast.

Will be going with cutting out those holes on my .1 3RS mud guards where the ducts end at the bottom to achieve the same outcome instead.

Yes! DB carbon even offers carbon fiber trim .2 RS's front fender grill kit for .1 RS.

For the same price I would buy Porsche’s OEM. The pattern and everything would match and has better resale value.

Sure! Agreed! I just pointed out that .2 RS front fender grill can be fitted into .1 RS.
