NACA ducts 100% for cooling. These OPF get hot when they are in clean-up mode. Diffuser is to accelerate the air under car, you really need to minimize uncontrolled turbulence in the air flow.

Good point...

looks though like the air enters behind the opf...

Looks like the diffuser turns down in the center section at the end, If so bye bye diffuser effect.

Looks ok to me. Not ideal, but no 911’s diffuser is.

Absolutely. If it wasn’t already obvious the fact that they’re made of aluminum gives it away. They’re expecting those things to get hot.

Can someone who got one, put it on a dyno along with a car from the old batch? A friend expecting new one was told the new batch makes "only" the rated 383kw vs more for the OPF-less cars. Was also told the torque is more peakier/higher up the rev range for the new cars. Did Porsche release a power/torque curve?

Awesome. So it will have the ITBs like the Speedster
Yesterday, I visited a dealer in Belgium, and they had an GT3 RS in their showroom.
I asked them to startup the beast; sound was OK for me, I was pretty impressed (however, I can not compare to the previous batch...)

It had the particulate filters; I took a picture... Johnson Matthey branded, including the diffusor with the NACA ducts for cooling...

Thank you for sharing this!

A lot of Porsche dealers were not able to not confirm that it will have ITBs.
Even a dealer in Belgium - Kronos Porsche Centre - and Porsche Import Belgium, confirmed that it had NO ITBs. They called me crazy...

Now i know how Bill Murray must have felt in Groundhog day..! For the very last time the second batch RS will be fitted with both OPFs and ITBs..I'm having one in the UK in September..I've had this confirmed from Porsche GB head office in Reading to me personally..It has 100% exactly the same engine as the Speedster..Again this is 100%..
I can only assume your sales guys in Belgium are not direct descendants from Hercule Poirot and spend too much time waffling down Belgium waffles..Too much sugar intake impairs brain function according to the latest extensive trials carried out in the US..
