If you have time, these are great back roads to get very close to see Mt St Helens and then Mt Rainier

Montoya can confirm HWY 26 in OR is a fun one!

Great- I’ll PM you with specifics. Anyone else with a GT car that wants to meet up and meet TEXASPORSCHELOVERS beautiful PTS touring and my humble PTS winged GT3 give us a PM and we’ll try to set something up.

Well thanks that’s nice. I didn’t think of it however. Got this idea/tip from Rennlist LOL!

Fabulous pictures! I had the same experience a year ago on a 10 day/3,500 mile road trip in my LWB's. The only downside was it took me the better part of a day to clean out all of those bugs and road dirt from my radiators. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

NICE!! I'm about doing a road trip with the CL's. Did you take the Torque wrench with you?

Keep the pics coming.

so awesome, and i agree on the LWB. Just did 1600 miles in them and no problem. no more stiff than stepping out of any car on a long trip...

there are some BIG bugs out west haha. Enjoy!

Good luck clubbing salmon in Campbell River, it gets messy!

I did pack a torque wrench in the frunk and a tire plug kit and moly in a small bag behind my seat just to give me a fighting chance if a tire problem came up. I had Michelin SportCup 4S tires installed before leaving and they used air to fill them. Caused all kinds of sensor issues going from sea level to 10,000 ASL plus big temp changes. 100% use only nitrogen to fill the tires on a road trip. Had them evacuated once I got to San Jose.

Hey Tex - Kudos for driving the car the way it was meant to be driven and actually touring in your Touring. Such a gorgeous car you have! I agree with your sentiment on the buckets. Not only do they look awesome but they fit me like a glove. My back feels better after seat time in the buckets compared to seat time in my 4-way sofas. Not to mention, I feel more locked in and connected with the car in the buckets compared to the 4-ways in my GTS. Yeah, it is like a game of Twister getting in and out of the buckets, but once in them, they are divine! Enjoy your epic road trip!

Great road trip. Sorry if I missed it, but why is it being shipped for this leg of the trip?

I did the Houston to Death Valley to Yosemite to Mammoth a few years ago with a BMW group on our way to Laguna Seca. Few other stops as we were trying to hit as many states as possible. Was a great road trip. Looks like you and your son had a great trip.
