Default GMG - New 911 GT2 RS Clubsport has arrived!!

The new 911 GT2 RS Clubsport is here!! This is the most powerful, non-street legal, GT customer sports car ever built by Porsche! This turnkey race car will be limited to 200 units worldwide (75 for USA), and will the perfect track toy for Clubsport events & track days for the true track junky. GMG will be receiving 5 of these cars and will be running 2 of them at the Total 24 Hours of Spa at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps later this month.

The GT2 RS Clubsport will have its official on-track debut at the SRO support race prior to the Total 24 Hours of Spa at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps later this month. It will be eligible to participate in the Porsche Trophy USA platform and the SRO GT2 Class with full technical and parts support from PMNA. This will allow drivers to race on the premier tracks in a professional environment.

The Clubsport is powered by the 700hp 3.8L, Twin Turbo H6, and is able to deliver maximum performance at any time, because of the optimized intercooler with redesigned supply & return air feed and race-optimized water spray system. The shift time-optimized PDK transmission instantly transmits any amount of pressure on the accelerator to the rear axle, and the exhaust system (specifically designed for the Clubsport) features a 100-cell metal catalytic converter.

The Weissach designed chassis features separately adjustable compression and rebound stages of the tree-way shock absorbers on the front and rear axle. This allows steering response, tire grip, and handling characteristics to be customized to suit various track profiles. This allows the driver to have maximum control over their vehicle and push it to the absolute limit. To shed a little weight, the Clubsport features carbon-fibre reinforced plastic on the roof, front lid, front apron, doors, tail section, and rear lid, along with a stripped out interior. Aerodynamic improvements include a larger rear wing and additional flics on the front apron to increase downforce.

Safety features include the integrated safety cage, removable roof section in the CFRP roof, extinguishing system, fore/aft adjustable Recaro racing seat with customizable padding system, six-point racing safety harness, 115-litre FT3 safety fuel cell, as well as front and rear towing loops.

All of these features bring the total weight of the Clubsport to approx. 3064 lbs. Other features include the one-piece 18" BBS wheels, optional passenger seat, Bi-Xenon headlights, LED taillights, FIA rain lights, Aluminum, monobloc six-piston racing calipers on the front with ‘Anti knock off’ piston spring (four-piston on the rear).

These pics are actually at a shop in Germany that we partner with for International races. We won't see these cars until late August but the big race is coming up in 3+ weeks at Spa......

I have one more potential allocation for a racer that wants to compete in either the Trophy Cup USA or SRO GT America in 2020.
You can email me at James@gmgracing.com if interested.

Cheers,

Well I am certainly leaning more towards track/race cars than street cars........once you track a race car on slicks, there's no going back!
