Was the 7:12 time for the base gt3 using the cheater R tires or standard cup2s?

So then would the car be around 7:00 with R tires?

if they made R tires in gt3 size then 7-7:05 probably yes. No way to tell though. I hope they make more sizes of the Rs. Funny I was actually researching this last night after watching this YouTube video

I bet if you put the same magnesium wheels and R tires on a GT3, it will be 5-6 seconds behind an RS.
Not sure if its worth the 80-90k price difference

Would love to see what a .1 is capable of with N2 or R tires now as well.

Funny as I contacted Manthey as well and and they told me for the .1 RS, the Cup R tires plus corner balance/shims/alignment/and bump stops on stock suspension improved the Nurburgring lap times by ~15 seconds vs the PSC 2 (sport auto lap). This makes sense based on others reporting they are 1-2 secs per mile faster in Cup R vs PSC2. Moving to full Manthey coilover setup is good for another ~5 secs.
Based on this info, safe to say tires are the biggest driver of the delta between .1RS and .2 RS, with different suspension playing a minor role at least on the n-ring.
