Agree 100%. Porsche has gone backwards. Don't care for it at all. Fugly.

Electric cars, and electrification in ultra high-end sports cars coming out from Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, and Rimac/Tesla is rapidly accelerating. Of the many here that own a Tesla, regardless of everything else, have had an eye-opening experience with the advantages of immediate torque. It would seem really really really archaic to have the 2020 GT3 battle out in this rapidly evolving new reality without some technological innovation involving hybrid/kers. The situation will be worse come 2025 where a pure n/a GT3 will be even more outdated power plant-wise no matter what they do to the venerable flat-6. Of course maybe they can innovate even more and come up with a 10K rpm engine that puts out 600hp and is reliable etc. etc. Time will tell, but I suspect when the first really good electric sports cars (not sporty sedan) comes out everyone's expectations will be shattered. If a mid-range model 3 performance sedan can do as well as it does against conventional sports sedans (M3/C63/Giulia QV) then imagine what a dedicated well designed sports car with battery technology from 5 years from now will do ....

Addendum: seems even Lamborghini too... https://carbuzz.com/news/lamborghini...e-ferrari-sf90

in terms of technology Porsche and their customers are very archaic

look the GT2RS water injection system compared to an half price M4GTS
or same price Ferrari Pista

or the 991.2 baseline turbos compared to many cheaper brands

Not saying I prefer a Turbo or an Hybrid but
lately Porsche clients have been educated to lick more the deviated stitching than real contents

have to agree with you...
shouldn't 918 power unit technology have trickled down to GT models by now ?

Personally i' d prefer a light carbon tube
9k rpm N.A. street RS
Why increasing the hp/tq with hybrid if a lighter car can do that better?

Interesting...and ironic. In my TT I found myself shifting with the gear lever quite often in leisurely traffic. I also use it in my GT3.

Actually I like the look of that car. I wonder if the wide body will be wider? And will it have the 4.2 liter engine??
