2020 GT3 Breaks Down --> is it from hybrid drivetrain?

I'm surprised there's so much talk about the nubbin. As far as I'm concerned they could do away with the shifter entirely and make it push button or whatever. I'd need a pro driver to explain to me why shifting with the PDK stalk is better than just using the paddles. Makes zero sense to me since the paddles allow you to keep your hands on the wheel. Maybe it's just old pro drivers?
tight corner requiring gear change, if wheel is moving a lot hard to reach paddle as its spinning with wheel, center console shifter is always stationary

AP said somewhere that there is room for 8th gear / electric pancake motor but although there is room for it in the 992, the batteries and electric driveline do t come till the 992.2.
So the 992 is a 991RS but with some extra weight/room for the future EV extra power and weight.
Perhaps it will debut as the Weissach Pack? Or as the RS? But as the 992.2..

I highly doubt they will add the 8th cog in a GT car (and more weight) without adding the performance boosting tech as well. In the carrera being "hybrid ready" might fly. Not so in a GT car, it will be pandemonium and I bet AP wont stand for it. The power:weight needs to go up every generation if they expect to charge more. Thats the formula. Trickle in a better ratio and jack up MSRP

I vote 992.1 GT3 get 991.2 RS power and chassis tricks and 991.1 RS aero. 10 sec faster on the ring.
992.1 RS might get active aero as their main selling point, plus some power bump, weight loss etc.
992 Turbo S E might be the first hyper 911- 4.0 turbo plus battery boost.

I think the 992 GT3 will have more than 520ps. Last generation changeover increased power by 40hp...

The 992 GT3 is aesthetically a dud for me to care if it's turbo, electric or has a flux capacitor. Porsche has brought back the 996 series in 2019.

Not a fan of the swan neck wing, rear deck lighting, including the Porsche letters the way they protrude off the panel, interior, nubbin, front fascia, etc. Maybe I'll warm up to the final version but doubt it.

When was the last time an N/A GT car broke down on side of track?
I bet 992 GT3 has some form of KERS or hybrid drivetrain and got into an electric gremlin...
Thoughts???
PS: C8 driving past... ironic and sad...

Cars break all the time on the track, especially development mules on the Nordschleife.

When the 92 car exhaust broke at Le Mans, when the 912 broke its diffuser at Long Beach, when the 911 car blew its engine at VIR last year, when...
