Anyone get any info from their dealer on Spyder allocations and ordering availability?

Start of taking ADM value out of these cars me think.

Yep...Porsche saw dealers selling Gt3 -RS GT2RS way over MSRP and instead of the dealers getting all that money action Porsche wants a piece of it.

When the 992 GT cars come out I expect a big jump in MSRP over what 991 GT cars were.

In the meantime a limited edition Boxster 25th Anniversary with 450hp will be released in the same colour scheme as the original prototype - Silver/Red Leather/Copper coloured wheels.
That would be awesome if still NA and PTS is available.

The fact that both the GT4 and Spyder, two cars with completely different mission statements, share the same specs is telling,

The specs are on point for an open top, manual, naturally aspirated sports car to have a blast with, so the Spyder seems ideal. To me that seems like a very appealing car and probably a much better value proposition than the Speedster (and this is coming from someone who is getting one) ... conversely said specs fall short for a street legal track car.

Otherwise, for me at least, the only thing to get excited about here is the Spyder.
I totally agree on the Spyder being the exciting model of the two.

I would love Burmeister in my GT3!

I agree but they need to be careful. Once they get too close to a proper Ferrari they will lost out on a good chunk of business.

So it's the Carrera engine?

Guessing the 4.0 turbo internals for the 992 Turbos will be stronger or will they be the same? If the same, this 4.0 NA mill will be a strong mill.

Can’t be same pistons, as turbo will need lower compression ratio. Probably stronger internals in Turbo, but both strong for their purposes.

I'm not even sure what the target audience is for this GT4, someone who wants to go much slower that a ZL1 1LE and hates money?
As a customer for the 2016 model, yes that was a big draw (the first Manual GT car in 5 years). Since then, the Manual GT options to buying 718 GT4 have increased to include 911R, GT3 Wing & Touring, Speedster, and Spyder. Both new and used of above (and used 981 GT4 and all previous GT3's). I feel that the marketplace could be quite different today.
