considering selling 458 for .2 GT3 ?

Basically as mine is a PDK and needs 6K revs to come alive..We have so much traffic congestion, speed cameras and idiot boy racers where i live i feel very frustrated in my GT3 as it always eggs you to drive in an antisocial manner..It ideally needs a track environment to safely exploit its limits where my 458 albeit less track capable is more involving at sensible speeds..The 458 rides much better, much lower gearing more suited to driving at more sensible speeds and a hyperactive steering..The 458 has much more low end torque than the GT3 coupled with lower gearing makes it feel alive when driving on public roads.

may i suggest taking your 458 down to texas for the manual transmission conversion that shop which did the Scuderia is now offering for the 458.. then you will have the best of all worlds.

If you try a GT3 you will not be disappointed nor will you feel like you down graded. I believe Porsche has perfected a sense of something special without the equal parts of too much attention. It is obviously well document how capable the GT cars are on the track; however, they are very compelling on the road as well.

IMO the GT3 is a lot less exciting and less of an occasion to drive than a 458. I own a GT3M now and had a 458 for 3 years (488) now. If nothing else the sound. It will be more expensive to fix if it breaks. If the sports seat are comfortable to you I would get and RS.
For me the 458 Speciale is a car I have a strong desire for.

I've put 3,000 miles on my 991.2 GT3 with manual and the Carbon Buckets and absolutely love it for street driving! It's way more livable than previous generations GT3s on road and is honestly a very comfortable cabin that you can spend hours in. I did a 9 hour drive when I first purchased the car and felt great when I got out, no back pain or anything.
Plus the manual is the best in the business! Even if you just sit in the car and row through the gears while the car is off, you'll see what I mean.
Go for it! If you're thinking about making a change... then it's time for a change.

I have an F80 m3 and it looks huge parked next to my 997.2 tt and my 951. The back end on that 458 is WIDE!!!! Interesting to see the comparison.
A 458 is one of the few cars that might pull me out of my tt if I could ever get over the cost of ownership worries.

I was lucky enough to have access to both in my garage for a short time.
6spd GT3 is gone. 458 is staying. Both top tier cars. 458 better for the street and feels more special. GT3 needs to be driven hard to redline for optimal enjoyment.

Never owned a 458.
Looks and sounds of 458 very class act.
I have driven a couple times ...and to be honest the 458 didn’t it do it for me...the car has to be driven hard to give you some excitement.
So i bought a 2018 Manual Gt3.
Now driving a ferrari v12 is a different experience .
I will buy either a FF or F12...these cars are cruise missles.
But i wouldn’t sell the gt3 to do this.
