Default Broke the rear hood hinge lock...???

I tried to close the rear deck and did not push the release on the right hinge. No matter how I try to explain to the dealer what part I need, they don't understand and they won't walk to the car to be shown.

Any help from you guys?

Thanks,

Stu

Take a picture and show it to parts person at dealer. But find a new dealer if "service" people can't get out from behind their desk.

That's plain lazy. Find a new dealer that may be more accommodating or appreciative of your business.

I'll get the picture. I just assumed that since it broke so easy the parts guys would be aware of the part. Poor assumption.

Thanks

What's the ground material? Concrete? Tile? Oh god, I hope it's not gravel!

I'm guessing it's gravel and they only have flip flops on, sucks when you get a stone caught in them.

Shouldn't be such a problem. The PET shows the following part numbers for the hinges (you have to replace the whole hinge, just just the little arm to release).

991-512-152-83. Right hand (the pet shows the part as 991-512-152-82, but looking it up, this new part supersedes this part number)

991-512-151-81 Left hand

#5 is the hinge
They are for the MY18+ cars with a wing.

Its a very common problem - when you want to close the lid, lift it a few mm then push the red lever down - works every time
