I have an opportunity to buy a headunit out of a .2

As we all know the .2 head unit looks much nicer.
The menu

+ it supports Apple CarPlay

My question is, does anyone have any experience as to weather doing this swap will be straight Plug and Play?

Any help appreciated.

From what I've heard it won't work. Apparently the connections are different and the new PCM needs to be updated or linked onair with Germany or something along those lines. However this is just what I've heard and don't actually know if it can be swapped plug n play style. Would love to know more though so if you go ahead and try some updates and pictures would be great.

get some photos of the connectors and take a look.

I'd expect there are some differences since the .2 comes with a rear camera, but it may be a possible DIY if its just a couple wire swaps. Maybe someone out there has access to the electrical diagrams?
