991.1 GT3 Weird Faults
So I just had a really weird issue with my car. I drove about 200 miles on the highway without issues, parked at my office for a couple minutes and then drove away, car started fine but once I got up to about 30 the car started throwing the following errors:
Everything worked fine (reverse, parking brake, etc..). The car entered a limp mode and the issue persisted after a restart, but went away after about 100 feet of driving. This is the first time the issue has occurred in 5000mi, however the car did have some codes stored when I purchased it. I had assumed it was due to the engine replacement which occurred a few months ago so I didn't think anything of it, here is what the PIWIS scan reported previously:
Has anyone else had their car give them multiple faults at once like this? I am leaning towards a grounding issue, perhaps with the electric power steering module based on the codes, but I'm not sure if that would have anything in common with the other faults. If anybody has any input on what to check before I bring it to a shop, I'd appreciate it.
- ABS/PSM failure, adapted driving permitted
- Rear-wheel steering fault, adapted driving permitted
- Fault Parking Brake
- Transmission fault. Possible no R gear. Drive on possible.
- Fault Parking Brake (a second time)

- DME: P0492 (Bank 2 secondary air system malfunction), P0491 (Bank 1 secondary air system malfunction)
- Inst. Cluster: 00A221 (Doors open when driving), 00A086 (TPM Deviation), 00A045 (Check MIN Oil Level)
- Parking Brake: 000021: Drive Away Release, Not Available
- Power Steering: 010030 Open Circuit In Ctrl. Unit PSU, C11000 Supply Voltage Below Limit Value
- Front-end Elec.: 89020E: Front Lid Light Faulty
- Left Headlight: Supply Voltage Below Limit Value
- Right Headlight: Supply Voltage Below Limit Value
- Rear-Axle Steering: 000033 Reset of the Control Unit Due to Loss of Ground, C11000 Undervoltage, 000014 Left Rear Axle Steering Control Unit, Fault Entry

The errors seems to be unrelated.
I would also say battery. What is the voltage 60 mins after you park the car?

Battery was tested good today, car sat overnight before testing so I doubt that was it. I replaced it with a new 90Ah battery just in case.
I think a more promising lead (unfortunately) is these chewed up sauce packets found on the frame rails. I disassembled the front end for inspection and the harnesses looked ok, but is this something to be concerned about regardless or would damage from animals typically be obvious?

This will not end well my friend....looks like rodent made dinner of your wiring harnesses. Had a similar issue years ago on an old BMW. Thankfully my home owners insurance covered it since it was in my garage when it happened.
Good luck. Reach out to Matt Moreman from obsessed garage. He had a similar issue in his 991.1 GT3 I believe.

No doubt a rodent issue. The good news here is that your car insurance will cover this. Time to visit your nearest dealer and then deal with the rodent issue at home before you bring the car back.
I had mice chew through a wheel sensor last year. It was an easy fix by the dealer, and now I make sure I stay on top of the mouse problem on my property. I have read that keeping dryer sheets in your garage and in your car will deter them. I cant say that it works, but I now keep a few Bounce dryer sheets in the frunk and passenger footwell. I have not had a recurrance .

Part of me wants to clear the codes, trade the car in for an RS and forget about it lol.
But, since I don't want to spend more money, the car is headed in for service on Monday and I'll wait on the estimate before filing a claim with insurance. I'm pulling the front bumper tomorrow to replace the mesh grilles, so I will do some more digging and update if I find anything. Hoping it's a sensor or ground wire and not the main harness.

I have glue traps down all over my garage. Caught 3 of them a few weeks ago. It is a serious threat.

Alright, so quick update since I figured it out. The rodents didn't get at any wiring. My shop blamed a wheel speed sensor because of a stored code, so I replaced it. The same exact series of fault messages came back yesterday when I was pulling out of my driveway at work again, so I went out and had somebody take a video of me leaving.
The issue occurs because there is a dip on the right side of the exit ramp, causing the front passenger side wheel to lift off of the ground and slip, triggering an implausible speed to register on the corresponding wheel sensor. The car then thinks something is majorly wrong, so it throws a ton of messages and enters limp mode, a quick pull off and restart of the car twice clears the condition.
I think this is probably the best outcome possible, just wanted to share in case anyone else has similar issues.
