Did you bed your brake pads?

Did you do it right away?

Or wait a fair distance, say 200 miles?

Appreciate your personal opinion, Steel or PCCB

I tried bedding it after Euro delivery, but couldn't find a suitable place. 1500 miles later, it stops just fine. I'll do a proper bedding after it arrives.

How, exactly, does one "bed in" brakes? I've got steels...

10 hard braking from 60 to 10, tripled, never coming to full stop. Build up heat to transfer material to rotors

Will this help the squeaking?

I didn't bed the PCCBs on my GT3. 7K miles later + a few track days and everything seems fine to me. I had dealer look at my rotors and pads before my track day this weekend and the pads still have like 1/4" of material and the rotors still look pristine. Then again, I'm not pulling record-breaking lap times so I'm probably not really stomping on the brakes as hard as I could.

What exactly does bedding in PCCBs do compared to not bedding them?
My brakes squeak sometimes at low speed. Not often. But every now and then. No performance issues that I can tell.
