Default Mega crash, even bigger rise....

Don’t know if you fellow petrol heads have seen this video from the Nurb... First he crashes his 996 GT3... two hours later he returns in his 991.2 GT3 RS... and he is not for fun guys... holy crap. He knows his way around a 911 cockpit for sure.... And has picked a very saying YouTube name for himself: Drive It Or Sell It

Enjoy....

Big boy crash there (SX) and at 250? Lucky it wasn't worse. Seems like he brakes when the car was light when he saw the yellow. I noted an understandable lift before the crest next time around.

Nice to have a stash of spare yellow 911s...

That just breaks my heart to watch - can someone clue me in on what exactly went wrong? I couldn't figure it out.

He learned so much from the first crash, he doesn’t need a helmet anymore.

There was a yellow flag on the fastest corner on the track. You can crash there, just by lifting (you need to be on the gas to settle the car there, especially a 911). It's also possible that whatever caused the yellow flag resulted in some fluid on the track (though it is not necessary to spin there).

Ouch that was a big hit in 996
go see he obeyed the principals of a big crash eg chin on chest elbows in and accept the best possible outcome.

Seeing his head bobbing back and forth is quite unsettling.

He did a really good job going on the brakes and letting go of the steering wheel.

No HANS device that's how Dale Earnhardt Sr. died in a similair crash...Basilar skull fracture. I guess the guard rail at Schwedenkreuz did a great job absorbing the energy and saving his life.

Then he doesn't wear a helmet any more

His feet are off the pedals after impact which is why he rolled backwards across the track.

Wow, crazy to be going that fast without a HANS. That was a huge hit and he’s lucky to have walked away...foolish IMO to get right back in the car. I recently had a relatively low speed shunt at Lime Rock (in a race, so full safety gear) and didn’t feel quite right for a few days afterwards.

After a crash like that, I go directly to the nearest bar and get wasted. Helmet on. No way I’m going back out there.
