Default Brand new .2 Manual clicking in Sport Mode Downshift

My car has only 200 miles and it’s stayed below 3000rpm except a few to 3750 or so.

When driving slowly around on a few streets just now I noticed that in sport mode (at below 30MPH) when I downshift, there is a metal noise/click/mashing sound. Very short maybe only 1/2 second. I did get it going up shift once too.

Is that because I should not be in Sport mode that slow?

it did not seem to do that (as I recall) a few days ago.

Normal I think. If it is what I think it is, It is the throttle body opening/closing.

i leave mine in sport 100% or the time. I believe it is better for the clutch and engine.

It has a warranty?

Drive it. If it breaks - Porsche will come pick up.

Check and see if it has a GT4 transmission.😂

Seriously, the trans takes a few miles to break in. Mine is much quieter now that I've hit 5000 miles. If you are close to your dealer stop in and have them listen. This will document your concerns early on.

If it has something wrong it will get repaired. And I wouldn't care about a replacement trans in a new car. I had a new trans installed in my 12 GTS at 800 miles and no one cared when I traded it in.

Enjoy your car.

I’ve had my car 3 weeks and can tell you driving in sport mode is pointless. Especially if you’re in break in period. Only time I even think about using it now is on highway. That’s it. I think it’s fine and you should just turn it off until you break it in. Then when you can rev higher and hit the highway you’ll know what I mean.
