I'm not singling you out here, but it seems like your logic (along with many others here on RL) regarding ADM and other brands are flawed.
Try walking into a Ferrari showroom and buy a Pista at MSRP. See how far that gets you.
How about a deposit on an upcoming Mclaren 750LT without buying any Mclaren's prior?
Whether it's paying straight up cash as ADM or needing to buy a few undesirable cars, the game is the same across all brands for these speciality cars (eg. 488 Pista, GT3RS, etc).
P.S. You could go straight into an Aston Martin showroom and buy a brand new DBS at MSRP with no prior history.
What? Don't feel like loosing 100-125k the moment you drive off the lot?

If only two choices were Speedster or GT2 RS, I would definitely select the GT2 RS. Might not be as "rare", but it is definitely more fun.
Other answer. Me personally? Since I'm just your run of the mill car guy who hasn't purchased 23 cars from my local Porsche dealer and isn't a VIP, the ADM I'd pay on both the GT2 RS and Speedster would be so high I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Ferrari, McLaren, Lambo, maybe. I coulda bought another car with the damn ADM I paid on my "base" GT3.

To answer the OP's question ...
As of now I don't have any plans to sell the 2RS when I get the Speedster.
If I do sell it it won't be because of the Speedster, it'll be because I replaced it with a different car in the same mold as the 2RS.

Well I don't have a speedster yet so it's hard to really say but as of now I'd go for the 2RS...it's just a rocket ship of a 911 and drives unlike any other 911 I've owned.

I have owned a bunch of Ferrari’s, I currently have a 488, they don’t compare to the Porsche GT stuff. Apples and hand grenades. I own A 2RS the speedster doesn’t hit me. YMMV.

My GT2RS is very direct, immediate and focused. Has a heavy and even violent feel to it. The Ferrari is less brutal although very fast. I can probably drive the 488 faster. I am not a pro but many driving schools. The Ferrari is less effort to drive fast. Having said all that I really like both of them and glad I don’t have to choose. If the the speedster is essentially a convertible GT3 it’s no contest. I also have a .2 GT3M.
