Have fun! And bring love bug remover! I was there last month, and will possibly be there next month, but definitely in the fall. . . The guys at Chin are great! (So are the guys at PCA!)

Awesome have fun...i stopped doing hot weather DE years ago. Don't let the love bugs stay on the car too long as there a very acid bug.

Windows down and Gorilla Glass at 150mph?

No Chin, thanks, but you won’t have me as a customer.

I would rather rent Sebring on my own (track provides flaggers and crew), and send a few texts to share the bill among qualified friends that can pedal a car properly.

My own personal preference is simply to text a few of my buddies, bribe the government officials in Monaco, close down the country to drive the F1 road course for a few days, and call it an extended weekend! But when can't work it out on our schedules, we just go to Sebring with Chin!

Feel all the love! Hahaha. Renting the track is sure fun. Waiting for Trakcar second event this year in September. But Chin is still fun enough for me. Nice people, well run. I live in Florida, hot weather is part of the deal and today is actually super nice. Drink plenty of fluids and drive on.

I'm sure Chin is taking your opinion into their consideration...... I was there on a private track day a few weeks ago with Dimitt and also the next with PBOC. PBOC and Chin run a great operation. Apparently I'm just a peasant so I'm forced to run with my windows down (for safety reasons).

I'm curious:. how do the private track days work, besides renting the track? (By private, I mean non-club rental; non-PCA, non-PBOC, non-Chin, etc) How is liability accounted for? Are waivers usually signed? Are cars inspected prior to the event? It seems like you would have to have a bunch of trusting and trustworthy individuals, and that a lawsuit would always be possible...

Its America, when something goes wrong everyone lawyers up (unfortunately). Waivers help mitigates things but tracks have to charge more because of increase in liability premium due to b.s.

I personally always buy a million in liability and collision coverage every time I visit the track as I feel everyone else should be required as well (at least a million in liability coverage).

Just my $.02

AALENCAR, Good to see you yesterday, quit after the 3rd session. The love bugs won.

awew911 05-19-2019 11:04 AM

I can't be the love bugs are still there... Unbelievable! They were a problem 3 weeks ago. Didn't think they would still be around. Planning for June 15th with Chin. And thanks to Trakcar, I've been to a few summer events with Chin at Sebring where they have allows windows up.

Those love bugs, though...

Same here my friend. I noticed you bailed out. Left right before “happy hour.” It was a great day despite of the bugs. Hope to see you June 15th.
