Default Tow hook of choice... Rennline?

What’s the best/favorite tow hook for these GT cars? Looks like Rennline is still pretty stout looking and seems to be fairly well constructed. What’s everyone else using?

I have always used rennline. Not cheap but strong and well constructed which is what I want if the tow hook is used.

My Mini JCW one on the other hand is $19. Purely for show! Motor hard!

Nothing wrong with it.
Whats wrong with the OEM exhaust?
Whats wrong with the OEM alignment?
Just another “mod” to individualize your car...

I hear you - I'm all about exhaust mods and properly aligning your car for your purpose

This just seems a bit too decorative and pointless - but hey, rock on

The Rennline ones are cool looking but couldn't swallow the price, which honestly and admittedly sounds ludicrous considering that my JCR silenced race pipe showed up today. I did splurge for a second Porsche OEM tow hook so I can have one in front and back just like I do on my M3 when at the track.

Nope! Not cool enough... I like little things to set the car apart from others at car shows. You know, the inner Waxer in me. Kinda like the exhaust that was put on today that made zero more hp and the new wheels I ordered that didn’t add a single amount of power either. My nice shiny paint and all the gaudy add ons that seem to set it apart.

In all seriousness, I had an incident in a car I once had and a strong(er) tow hook that could take some lateral load would’ve been paramount. That’s why I want a better than factory tow hook that has nothing to do with using what all the cool kids use, it’s for a specific purpose for me.

Installing the toe hook for track events is a requirement for some organizers. My local PCA club requires it to be installed or no pass for inspection. Chin I believe suggests it be installed. The Rennline hook doesn’t stick out like the stock one does so it looks better, less to get caught on in the pits too or bump your shin on walking around the car, getting into the frunk and so forth.

I have always gone with the Rennline on my 996 C4S, 996TT & my 991.1 GT3.
