I have this Rennline Tow Hook..Rev1 model. I used it a couple time on my 2017 991.2 Carrera GTS..says it fits all GT3 and Panamera cars. But then when on the Rennline site they have it for sale for 2018-19 991.2 GT3 in black and red and in another part of there site they say only the Rev2 fits 991.2 GT cars.

I screwed this in on my 2018 991.2 GT3 and it went in a few threads and stopped. It fits but unsure since it only screws in a few threads. Really odd. I see photos of 2018 GT3 with my hook installed though.

I used this on my 2017 Carrera GTS fora couple track days...but Rennline says it fits many models including 964/993/996/997/991.1 and 2. Also fits Boxster 986/987 and Cayman 987, Panamera and the 944T/968 *with factory screw in tow hooks.

Used a few time, never towed with. I have a 2018 GT3 now and this doesn't fit the new 991.2 2018-2019 GT cars it seems.

I am selling it, but do not want to sell it and list it wrong to the buyer.

does the same hook work front and back, so you can unscrew and toss in the back if needed?

So... those Rennline ones, they sure look 'cool' but you know, when they are actually used for you know, TOWING, I've seen more than a few BREAK. One of them causing a bunch of damage to a bumper in process.

I use factory (now).
The OMP strap is good too.

For anyone that has been towed at the track, you know, you don't want to give those guys ANY reason to have an issue. Their goal is to get you out of the way and off the track. Not to 'protect' your car. Your tow hook breaks they will wrap that tow strap around anything they can find on your car... seen it! ain't pretty!
