Default Track Numbers/Vinyl on Xpel

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience putting race numbers over Xpel. The usual temporary vinyl with not as strong an adhesive. Any adverse effects to the film, any issues while applying, removing the number? Other than naturally the paint under the number not getting exposed to sun and maybe fading less, which is not really an issue since I don't park under the sun that often.

I usually put the numbers on at the beginning of the season and keep them on through the summer purely due to laziness - just wasn't sure whether that'll OK w the clear film.

Bumping because also interested in this scenario. I’m thinking of having several liveries cut that I can alternate between and my gut tells me that as long as I don’t get too close to the edge of the ppf, removal will go smoothly if performed slowly.
But....I do not want to be pulling along and have a section of the ppf raise up so if anyone has applied/removed appliqués over ppf, let’s hear of your experience.

Idk about Xpel (it seems to be OK) but I did put whatever the protective film is that goes on windshields and the numbers definitely pulled a layer of it off.

erko,

No problem at all. Just peel them off carefully if it's next to an edge of the film. But you should have no issues at all. This happens all the time.
