Default Is your GT3, Touring or RS titled correctly by Porsche USA?

My 2019 GT3 Touring is titled as GT3 RS and I was surprised at how many others had GT cars that were titled incorrectly. Not just 2019 Tourings, which could have easily been a last minute production shift decision.

Lets start a poll to see numbers to get an idea on totals

Apologies if this is too close to the other thread, I could not see how to change that to a poll and I never thought anyone else would have an incorrect title like mine.
Both my Insurance and the DMV Title claim my Touring is a GT3 RS.

I spoke with Michael at Porsche North Scottsdale and he recommended I call 1800-Porsche. I did that and spoke to Chris (customer.commitment@porsche.us) who looked up my VIN (WP0AC2A91KS1490XX) in the Porsche NA system and it correctly shows mine as a GT3. He is arranging paperwork to present to my DMV/MVD to correct the GT3 RS model to be a GT3

Can he help others get the correct paperwork?

Or do you have an extension/contact for Chris? Rather not have to re explain to someone else.

I'm curious as to what this paperwork entails. I would think that you could simply show the paperwork from your dealer (sale contract, etc.) to the DMV and your insurance company to prove your car is a GT3/Touring and not a GT3 RS.

Does that mean you're paying more for insurance?

USAA rep I spoke with says there is only one GT3 variant for model year 2019 in their books and that is the GT3RS. When I run the USAA pricing numbers for 2018 cars, then the GT3RS is over $55/month more than the Touring.

Strange. There should be two - GT3 and GT3RS. I know there are 2019 GT3s out there.
The 3RS has body work that is crazy expensive. (e.g. hood $27k) Surprised it's not even more for insurance!

I live in Texas and my 2018 touring just says 911 under the model. Geico labels it as a GT3.

This goes both ways. My ACR is listed as a standard Viper by the Vin. Makes for some really cheap insurance with USAA! Jackpot.

Does that mean if its a total loss / theft - they payout on standard viper price?

I hope that works out for you in the case of accident or theft.

I just spent a 3 day ordeal with USAA and traversed three layers of their insurance team, ending at Executive branch.
Bottom line, they are drones to the schedule they have in their possession which does not show any GT3 and I must pay GT3RS rates.
No paperwork will convince them.

THANK YOU , and BTW, Thank You again!
Geico correctly classifies my VIN as a GT3 AND they beat USAA by over $600 per year, now we're looking into house and other auto discounts....
Did I mention it already? Thank YOU

Here is the crazy stuff, Geico's agent automatically populated my GT3 by VIN and model. Obviously insurance companies are very well connected
