My source is usually reliable. As usual, nothing is always 100% sure before the introduction of a model, but I have no reason to doubt of this info.

Subscribed. I'm getting an early second batch car in UK. July apparently. No word on engine config from my dealer yet.

We know it will have the new exhaust for sure because of the Euro regs. My GUESS is they didn't go to the trouble of testing the new exhaust system with both types of engine so RS batch 2 will indeed have the ITBs.

Another question while I'm at it: I've not had confirmation of the price yet so there's a chance it might go up. If anyone has had price confirmed please do share.

I got september production for eurospec.
@Gravs
what do you think, having the speedster engine w itb/opf will it be an improvement compared to ROW version?
if they just put opf (and nothing on the upsidek) on it i might just ditch my allocation..

I’m sure all waiting customers think exactly like that - myself included. Porsche is known for knowing their customers and they don’t need another s@itstorm in the middle of WLTP restrictions.... I hope

I hope it would be better yes. Don't mind a slight power drop. Good that weight is slightly down. If they go with PF but no ITB then it does make it a slightly second class version but I would still keep my allocation.

How many eurospec could they possibly build?
havent heard of earlier than june build and havent heard later than september. I guess speedster takes up time so 3rs production are not at full speed!?
My porsche center will get 3 sweden in total guessing 10-15.
All of Europe, 200?????? (Just me guessing)

I think it will be substantially more than 200, but below 2.000 as they have to produce all kinds of iron during same period... 992 variants, Speedster.
I have a written hand note from an exec at PAG - from 2018 Geneva, that says a total of 5.811 pcs WW. But with WLTP kicking in that number might be higher, as they have probably pushed hard on non-EU deliveries - while being able to deliver NONE here - since third quarter 2018.

I'm mostly interested in sound and with those ITBs throttle response. W the 8400 peak power could feel quite a bit different.

Not really qualified to answer..However just had confirmation from PGB that the last batch EU RSs will have the six ITBs from the Speedster..They also confirmed that the RS has passed the WLTP tests and will have two OPFs like the Speedster..That's all i know but i suspect based on Stout's Speedster review is this new RS will be have a quicker more precise throttle response but maybe quieter due to the OPFs.

This is massively interesting, I wonder if they will give the last few RS is a special designation, or just treated it as a huge surprise for the lucky owners of the end of the model run ?
