Default Test drove a touring

After all the talk about how great the manual is I had too take a test drive, coming from .2 gt3rs the touring feels so soft and comfortable, the manual is incredible! but I still prefer my gt3rs much more raw and it feels quicker.... i do wish that they made a gt3rs in stick!

How does the gt3 feel compared to the touring?

Same suspension, etc. If the car had sofas the buckets do transmit more NVH and road feel.

Pretty much the same, until you go fast enough to exploit the GT3’s better downforce, lower drag, and ram air intakes. Only the downforce is very noticeable and you have to be going very fast...

PDK will always feel faster than a Manual

And less engaging. 6MT GT3 is tough to beat on the fun scale.

Definitely more fun but there is something about the pdk in the gt3rs that makes it extremely bad ***!

A Touring with a modified exhaust and suspensions is as raw as an RS but with that old style + engagement at any speed

instead to enjoy a pdk based GT you have to break the legal or conmon sense speed, not always doable on the road these days

the .2 GT3 definitely feels softer than a .2 RS or a .1 GT3.

I run my .2 GT3 in Sport suspension whenever I’m driving for fun, (not point a to b). Then it feels perfect and engaging.

also drove touring which has same suspension. I’d repeat your test but in Sport suspension mode.

I agree. I has "shocked" by how much smoother my .2GT3 is than my 993 on Bilsteins set to middle. The GT3 had been up on the storage lift for six or eight weeks. It's night and day. I may have to soften my 993 up honestly.

.2 GT3-RS feels substantially stiffer that GT3 because of the rose/heim joints.

My feels great. I’m hardly an above average driver (I think). All I know is my Touring did this at Road Atlanta last Friday:
Didnt fee like it need more stiffness, and down force wasn’t any issue. Drove it maybe 7/10th. Didn’t want to push it too hard.

And a lot of us don't. If the RS had a manual option I'd likely feel differently.

There may be some, but I'm starting to sense this is nothing more than a poorly disguised 3RS hype thread. I've been offered several brand new 3RS's at sticker and one for a few thousand below sticker (it was publicized here on RL before the mods removed the thread). I was not on any RS waitlists, so I can only wonder how many others passed before the dealers thought to offer them to me. In contrast, guess how many dealers called me with an extra GT3 Touring they were looking to move.
