Funny I went in exactly opposite direction..... Had the perfect '17 C2S build with sport options, spasm, pdcc, rws, sports exhaust and everything... Was perfect daily driver
RS feels so much more intense and is more of a special occasion but no doubt that C2S makes for an unbeatable everyday sports car and I am sure the 992 will be even more impressive and better all around
Only regret is I don't have as many opportunities to enjoy the RS time wise (crappy weather, traffic, etc.)

there was a run today, in the smokeys, with 19 cars, up 281, really tight, and the 991.2 c2s cab was right in the mix, moving, totally stock car. All these cars are amazing, and its really not how fast you can go, it about the way the car makes you feel. I was impressed, then coming down the hill, 2 guys went into the woods. 1 gt3, and 1 gt3 997 no one was hurt, but the cars. I don't think there is a measurable difference on the street, even extreme mountain roads, but the track, yes, hope you like it.

The GT cars are just awesome cars......lots of reasons people trade them as their needs and circumstances change:
1) Tired of it for various reasons and want a change
2) Can't use it as a daily like they thought for their personal commuting needs
3) Can't afford it - change in job status, other financial priorities
4) Want the next cool car or new thing
5) Own other cars they prefer to drive
6) Wife says to sell it or else
7) Family changes - new house, new job, new wife, new kids, etc....
Mine was reason number 2 and 5...

I currently have a 718 GTS which I really enjoy every chance I get, That being said There is is something special about a GT3 Touring that just calls out to me for some reason. I would love to hear your opinions about your GT3 and why a C2S would be preferable in certain situations. Thanks.

Well actually his “statement” raises the questions about why the RS was not for him despite it being a great car and what he got on trade in.
We all know life goes on. What’s to discuss there?
He makes an announcement then leaves. Helpful, insightful and informative. 🙄
Btw my dealer offered me $10k less on my 3RS than I paid back in February when they offered me a 2RS at $50k over.

Just took the RS for a 40 mile drive...
what an event, just on another level
car feels tight, engined supreme, handling precise
no substitute...
C2S is a nicely balanced fine general purpose knife
RS is a scalpel...

It’s not my intent to turn this into a value thread, but the OP mentioned taking a loss on the .2 3RS and I was curious about what dealers are taking these cars in for now.
^^ this. Just looking for for insightful information from the OP from an otherwise bland post. No explanation why the .2 3RS wasn’t for him, no reason why the C2S was a better fit, no info on what the ‘loss’ was etc
