GT2RS ECU Tune
#16
Wise words. I think it's telling that neither the GT2 Clubsport or new 935 got a power bump above the stock GT2 RS despite not having to worry about emissions or other requirements. It's quite likely that they've reached the limits of the PDK gearbox and know it will fail if subjected to more torque under sustained hard driving. I've yet to see any of the aftermarket tuners pounding around the Nurburgring with their upgraded GT2 RS engines (even Manthey left it alone).
That's why the 935, CS and MR didn't get any HP bump... but sometimes seeing other 2RS with tuned ecu and cat delete pipes is very tempting LOL!

Three Wheelin'
I tuned my 997 GT2, it needed it, and its still a lot slower than the new Gt2 RS.. this new Gt2 RS 700 hp, does a 10.30 1/4 that's pretty fast.
The risk vs. the reward of adding more power makes no sense to me. Those are very expensive engines, you lose all warranty, anything that goes wrong related to that tune, zero coverage. So if money does not matter, go ahead
The reward, it most likely will not really make a difference in lap times, 1/4 a few tenths.. blasting from 60 to 124 mph runs .. or whatever speeds... maybe if thats your thing, then do it.
