Default Track day with .1 and .2RS

Yesterday Martin(USCtrojan and I) ran in a private group @ Buttonwillow. Martin was in his stunning miami blue .2 and I was running my .1RS.

Random thoughts and notes.

1) Martin and the .2RS are very fast. He was rusty and running consistent 1.54 with no bar or harness.

2) Both cars are fast...the .2 is a little bit faster.

3) My first track day in 2 years...my best was 2.03ish.

4) I am just blown away by this car. I think next time I can get to 1.57/1.58 with bar and harness.

I have a Porsche 911 turbo lover for over 20 years plus owned a CGT for a couple of years. This is hands down the best car I have ever driven. The motor is really special. I have the GMG cup exhaust on the car and it sounds really good. Time for coaching and more track time. Lastly Martin besides for being a great driver is an equally good dude. What a blast these Porsche GT cars are.

Motor happier to rev on top, actually usable 9000 RPM, but the real speed comes form tires, suspension and aero balance.

Tires are great, and that wing is quite helpful at speed.

Yeah where Martin was doing 154 in his gt4. That was 2 yrs ago. That link is my 997rs on the pic. I Was slow that day tho.
I think Martin could get the car under 150 but he’s too used to the mid engine cars now.
Rich nice to see you out there.
I should have been. Heard it was fun.
