At what height did you take delivery of your GT3?
Sup y’all, second post and I’m getting a little antsy. Should be taking delivery of 991.2 GT3 tomorrow. I had asked the dealer to set the coilovers as low as possible. Figured I’d want to take delivery with the look I want. Worst case I go back and have it raised. Any pros and cons to this? How did you guys take delivery and where do you like your factory suspension set? Thanks

Big mistake - fully lowered causes a much larger chance of punching the struts right through the tub if you hit pothole or curb - do a search (more common on GT4, but happens on GT3 too)
Oops, just noticed you said 997 - this is 991 forum - not sure if this is a risk with that model

I don’t recommend any owner of a new GT3 do anything to the car’s ride height or suspension. Get it home and get a feel for it over the break in period or a few hundred miles, then decide on what changes need to be made. The cars are nice and low from the factory; you may find plenty low.

Stock shocks are not meant to be adjustable for ride height, like aftermarket coilovers, where you see what looks good by raising/lowering. They are adjustable mainly for corner balancing and handling. i.e. in small increments to get weight distribution set properly. If it were me, I wouldn't lower all the way. Hell, I'd keep it stock height at least until you reach 2K+ miles. That way you at least get a feel for the car out of the box.
