Thinking about getting my wife a GT3
She has to drive her car to the track day's since I can only haul one car. So I was thinking of getting her one with the comfort seats. She is pretty much a confirmed intermediate driver. And does not want to mess with a harness.
Has anybody tried these seats on the course? I think the pace she drives they should be fine. Right now she is driving a Camaro SS 1le. After a couple laps in my GT3 she was liking it pretty much.

i mean, seems like you've considered it, made a reasonable argument, and understand the pros and cons, so if you have the money and she wants the thing, then go forth and buy one.

Have you thought about going in with CharlottesBest on a group buy?

I track my 991 Turbo S on 18-way sofas, I do like the Sport seats in my Cayenne Turbo better, but 18-way are more than good for 99% of the 991 GT3 drivers on a track day given their pace.
996 and 997 GT3 track drivers definitely need race bucket seats.

I did about 30 track days in my 15 GT3 with the base seats and thought they were not bad. (I do like the buckets in my 18 better.) I wore a Simpson hybrid with the 3pt belts.

you know those threads you cant let your wife see?
"wheels, exhaust, seats, brakes, etc" for sale
this thread is equally as dangerous in a completely different way.
on topic - i tracked on 997 sofas for a couple of years, they were fine for my skill level and there really was a ton of fun to be had - regardless of seat set up. She's a lucky woman, I hope she never meets my wife.
