Default Gurney Flap on Touring

I was reading a Panorama article from April 2016 about the 911R and an interview with AP. He stated that they tried a gurney flap on the 911R in testing, but it wore out the hydraulics on the rear spoiler. This spoiler apparently came from the Cabriolet.

The GT3 Touring now has a gurney flap (as well as the same 911R underbody diffuser)... so what gives? Does anyone know if they re-engineered the hydraulics to deal with the increased load from the gurney flap?

I drive so slow the flap never goes up, but I understand it is a different system on the 991.2.

It's not hydraulic, there are electric motors to raise the wing.

Was this changed on the 991.2? Any further information would be helpful.

AFAIK, it has been electrically actuated since 997.1 and probably before that also. But the 997.1 was my first Porsche, therefore I can make that statement
