Did not know that. Interesting.

Are you considering the extended wing uprights that were produced by a forum member for the 991.2 RS? Believe you installed on Mr Purple.

I don’t have them on Purple, not sure if anyone makes a taller upright or upright extension that first the .2RS.

so surely one can just raise the 991.1 GT3RS wing even without changing the angle. with the 991.2 GT3 RS taller wing mounts and simultaneously remove the front wheel arch air dams and grills under the vents on the wheel arches ?

The wings on the RS are twisted, e.g. flatter in the middle due to airflow coming down the back window, hitting the wing at an angle. I don't think you'd want to mix and match height changes without updating the wing shape as well.

I raised the wing on my 997 4.0, seems to give better down force and for me that's much beterer.

More downforce is a much better thing to experience at Sebring, Watkins Glen or ze Nordschliefe than 'not enough'

IMHO, More Downforce is ALWAYS better on any track. Keeping the back of the car behind the front and reducing
snap oversteer is both faster and safer which is why I spent a week with Max Crawford designing a 4" higher and larger
Wing. It's great on both road and track since I now have a clear rear view through my mirror.
If you see a Video of a 911 in a Wind Tunnel, it is obvious that the rear window blocks a lot of the Air Flow with a lower Wing.

Whatever the reason the .2RS has really good downforce.
I want the wing higher so I can see completely underneath it too. I once talked to someone at a cars and coffee once and he has a small extension that raises the wing another 2 to 3 inches by a company in the Valley (Socal) but I can't remember the name of the company. Does anyone heard of such an extension?

Salter make them for the GT4 https://www.sharkwerks.com/product?id=4688 but maybe you can just buy 991.2 GT3 RS brackets ?

Thanks for the tip Richard! Don't think Sharkwerks makes a an extension for the RS, but great if they did. I saw a small extension someone has on an RS a few months ago, just trying to track down that company. A small extension can't cost more than a couple hundred bucks vs. the whole upright. BTW I also have seen people use modified Cup car uprights but I prefer the cleaner look of the OEM uprights.
