Default Particulate filter and Gt3 rs

Hey, I still see no consensus. When I did Euro delivery in December, they told me that no particulate filter would be put into the 3rs. Now it looks like the 2019’s may be affected. Any official info? What is the consensus?

I have an EU one supposedly coming in June. The model designation on the contract changed to GT3 RS (OPF). Assume that means Otto Particle Filter. Thought it was already widely accepted it will have filters.

Oh, that’s interesting. Has everyone else received this OPF contract change for this year’s RS? Do we know what final impact that has on hp then?

So far everyone has told me power is unchanged. I’m wondering if any of the fancy bits from the speedster will be included. Same certification and power deficit problem caused by the filter to be solved after all.

That would be great to get the ITB’s to compensate for the filters - good luck, Dave!

Very strange. I wish they’d be transparent about this.

Maybe someone can help with the German translation - here is the build sheet that came with my 2019 RS I just picked up last weekend. It says something about OPF, but not sure if it means it includes it or not...

EDIT - used google translate - OHNE is “without” so mine does not have it. Confirmed!

According to google translate OHNE = "Without". (And Steuerungs = "Control"). So guess the whole thing means "Motor Control Manager Without OPF".

Thanks Grant. I would indeed take ITB intake sounds over a loud exhaust any day of the week. Best thing about my Beetle is its gargling through its DRLAs we shall see I guess.
