Did you find a way to disable the airbags?

It says “passenger air bag off” so from what I’ve read, I’m good to go. The Doona car seat/stroller fits perfect too.

I take my kids in my '19 3RS with the Porsche child seat which fits perfectly in the bucket. My daughter is 5yo weighs around 40lbs. My son is 6yo weighs a little over 50lbs. Both fit in the seat well after adjusting for their height. In both cases the passenger airbag disabled warning lamp is on in the overhead console.

To say the least - they both enjoy the car immensely and I would tell you it is hands down the best mod to date on the car.

- Chris.

Rear-facing child seat in the front seat...maybe your sign should read "Baby Not Safe"

If the airbag is disabled, what is the issue?

Let's not turn this into a safety debate.....there will be no winners only strong opinions....I'm keeping quiet on the OP pic....

i want to know too?? If airbags are disabled, how is it any less safe than a Honda Civic or 4 door pickup with the baby in the backseat? This is a 911 with a very strong crash structure.

Lol I remember 3 of us on the passenger seat with no seatbelt on many an occasion when I was a kid.

Nowadays I wouldn't do that but I'd have no problem putting a kid on a booster in a bucket seat using the normal seatbelt. They wouldn't be in much more danger than an adult.

Best plan is to take care and not to crash the car!

I thought the idea of a rear facing child seat was more about having the baby's/toddler's head/neck was supported in a frontal crash and less likely to snap forward, rather than anything to do with an airbag.

It’s funny that back when my son was born in 1988 all kids were in front facing seats. I went to the baby store and tried every seat they had until I found one that fit in the back of my 89 Carrera Cab. He was happy as a clam back there.

Today I’d go to baby jail for that...
