wrapping it or not
Hi all,
I am not sure I am thinking to wrap my GT3 however not really in clear if in full or partial and/or which design...what do you think about ? https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...d0bdbe622.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...4871dcadf.jpeg |
Depends if you plan on having more than one of them , or if it's you're only, daily & weekends sort of thing. I personally hate wrapping it, removes a lot of the feeling, but it's a safety play for the long term. (Some lifestyles even warrant double-wrapping)

Unless you are tracking the car extensively, I don't think wrapping is required in Germany. Both my GT4 and GT3T are not wrapped. I am driving GT4 for 3 years and didn't felt the absence of a wrap yet. |
My opinion is usually the minority but I think this whole clear bra / suntek / 3m wrap thing is silly - its like putting plastic over your couches at your home. Who are you saving it for, the next guy? I'd rather spend the $3k - $5k that these guys charge to apply this film on 5 years worth of detailing.

I like the chalk as is. Everytime I see it I feel like I’m trying to figure out the look. Your pics are nice, nice light for the color.

I think of it as protecting it as I protect my cell phone. You dont really need it until you do. I think its silly not to do it imo

I would wrap at least full front and mirrors..

I thought he’s talking about color change

Wrapped mine. Second day I owned it. Tip to tail... I can't describe the relief of not worrying about small scuffs, rock chips, bird crap, people leaning on it when it's dirty, etc... Plus, since it's a black car, no paint swirls. You can't tell it's even there visually. Looks better than when it wasn't wrapped...

Before and after, (every square inch is wrapped)
Thanks AutoArmour San Diego! https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...6346d9c35.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...a8dec13a6.jpeg |
I would say just do a full paint correction and a front end wrap including side mirrors. Its all you really need...
