Thanks guys. The commentary is very helpful in understanding the difference among the cars in actual track driving. That is something you rarely get from a test drive. Glad you stuck with it!

Wow! So the GT3 is only 1.4 seconds slower than the GT3 RS. And that's with a manual.

How much of those 1.4 seconds would the manual be responsible for?

Working super hard to keep doing some more... issues like CJ owning many business, me being a heart surgeon, and us living 250 miles apart... make it harder... but we still want to do it!

Great feedback... A few issues logistically prevented the GT3 vid from having 2 more gopro's show what's going on. Our GPS lap timer pooped out so we didn't have telemetry data. All planning to correct for our next youtube. Great advice.

Yeah something we really wanted to do.. one lap at Sonoma for each of the cars and CJ's commentary on track.

Great question... Sonoma is such a low-medium speed technical track that 1.4 seconds is an eternity. There's also one factor which is the GT3 got 100 octane by accident. So it was somewhat helped by that. That comment was not included for video length reasons. We probably shoudl have kept it somehow. We may on the final video.

To be clear- it would have been awesome
to have each car camera ready and telemetry ready and just hop in and go but we literally had 20-30 min sessions and had to film in between so it was a bit rushed. I think we had spent so much time each session getting all the stuff set that I only managed 5 laps or so in each car - maybe a few more in the Gt3 since I knew Rich would never let me drive it again!

Sears is a tough track to get quickly comfortable on esp if you're distracted moving equipment from car to car.

keep it up! and good job picking a tough track to do it on.

Great videos, thanks for making them. Quick question - the curb weights at the beginning of the videos, is that what you guys measured or manufacturer claimed numbers?

The 720S Video is now up in the original post.

The 30 minute video will have more explanation at the pitside by CJ as to what he thinks was going on with each car.

Enjoy!

Yeah super technical tracks are challenging - and we think it evens out a lot of things - like relying too much on pure power. It disadvantages heavy hp cars for sure. We wanted to just say.. hey, what if we have one 25-30 minute session to knock out laps on each car and see what the best lap is, same driver, same track.

Thanks!

Great Question. We used manufacturer claimed numbers. We hope at some point... if the vids gain traction we can actually start weighing the cars right before getting into pit lane.

I suggest you keep the car sound in the inlap video and then do a stand up commentary at the end after the session. I really wanted to hear the sound of the cars as it adds to the excitment.

Probably a long shot since it's no longer in production, but would love to see an ACR on Lap Dogs since CJ used to own one and he claimed it was pretty quick at the time. Maybe a ZR-1 too.

Anyway, entertaining series.

9 seconds quicker than the quickest Lap Dogs lap? Same configuration? While I'm a huge ACR fan, that seems off. But if true, wow!

Edit: Just realized that was Darius beating his old record. Damn, that's moving.
