Tomorrow’s weather is looking fantastic.... Gonna DVR The Masters and get the Touring our to check out the “Brazo’s Loop.” Possibly stop by Anthonie’s for lunch, looks pretty solid. Leaving from the River Oaks area around 9am if anyone wants to join.

In my pursuit to drive all of the value out of my car, I did the Brazos loop this evening. Here is my impression. Half of it is north of I-10. Nice windy roads, visibility ahead is ok to poor and some traffic at least on a Sunday eve. I was trapped behind two farmers moving tractors and implements from one field to another for about half a mile. As soon as I had adequate visibility those two farmers got to hear the orchestra of 4.0 liters winding up to 9000 RPM's and I could almost hear them mutter "damn city slicker" passing them.

I made it around and back across I-10 and the fun started for sure. Better roads, better visibility and much less traffic. It was just a haul *** session for 15 miles and I figured I better stop and take a photo because at that pace the fun was going to come to an end too quickly.

When I came up into Simonton I pulled into Anthony's Grill parking lot which was packed. Looks like the Corvette guys have already discovered the road and Anthony's.

I didn't stay at Anthony's - I had dinner plans already but just wanted to see it inside for next time.

Place looks terrific. The had a nice small band, food looked and smelled terrific. Very impress for the middle of no where.

Just as I am leaving a pack of Miata's flies by like a bunch of bees. I couldn't help but make the pursuit!

All in all a nice drive

Did this exact same lap this morning. Cant believe I didn't know of this route sooner. Im 1700 miles in on mine and today was the first time I felt like I really got a full drive out of it. If you are going counter clockwise, the portion between Anthonys and I-10 has some really great curves.

Definitely some great turns out there today... Felt nice to actually turn the steering wheel lol. Saw a few vette’s out there earlier today as well. Was nice to top it off with some ethanol free gas at Buc ee’s.

Weather is perfect, Anthonie’s looks great. Would be awesome to have a group drive and lunch soon.

Texascarlover. Looks like you were spotted by a LSRPCA member the other day.

Favorable weather this weekend. Good opportunity to get a group together for a drive.

I’d be down for a cruise. Anthonie’s for lunch tomorrow? Or maybe Sam Houston forest? I’ve never been there...

Pretty much yes with one giant exception. Can you say TEXpress LBJ????

Unbelievably awesome in a GT3 just 10 minutes from home.

The Coit Rd - TI Exit loop is the bomb.

Up for a Houston drive if group is going. 1458 is our standard run between Pattinson and San Felipe. South of I10 is a good long run for triple digits, but road is not particularly smooth.

Meeting some buddies at Shell station at corner of Kirkwood and I-10 at 8:30 sharp tomorrow (Saturday 20th). South side of I-10. Welcome to join. Probably same loop as in posts above, may go longer if people get the itch. Unfortunately, Sunday out for me due to Easter.
