Go on multiple drives and get the miles up there before you track the car so you can give in to the temptation guilt free. You can count yourself lucky, as I had to go the "old" recommendation of 2K mile break in. However, it was still fun doing the 2K miles and I did it in a very short period of time.

Go and experience the 9000 rpm happiness :-)

Just make sure it is warmed up and drive away. Every car I have ever bought brand new, took it easy first 100 miles then drove out like it was meant to be. Rings seated better and never had oil burning issues....

How do you know "the rings seated better"? Did you buy two of the same car and break them in differently then pull the engines and dissect them to see? No. No you didn't.

Every car used at PSDS at Barber goes straight on track with delivery mileage.
It's important to "break in" the rest of the drive line (transmission, driveshafts, brakes) before really leaning on the car. Race cars are usually shaken down progressively through a few sessions / heat cycles and then HAMMER DOWN. YMMV

Fwiw, 500 miles is roughly what I had on my .1 GT3, GT4, .2GT3, and .2RS before taken to the track and driven full tilt to redline every shift. 80 track days on the .1GT3 and the engine refused to die while my lap times kept getting faster. My first paranoid oil change after the first 5 track days and then every 10 track days. No data to back any of what I do up, but nobody else does either.
