Default Never seen so many GT cars together - buyers market

I have stopped by my porsche dealer today and have seen 3xgt2rs, 2xgt3rs, 4x991.2 gt3 and at least 5x991.1gt3s. More than half those cars have been there for so long.

I might be able to finally afford a gt3rs in 6 months. I think gt3s already under msrp and RS will be there in 6-12 months.

Noticed the same thing. Could be an early indicator of folks tightening the belt.

Porsche built a lot of cars, why would they not take advantage of the demand. Those who are trying to make a lot of money this time around will suffer. I don't think they will find as many people willing to pay over list as there are RS cars for sale, at some point list or lower pricing for newer cars will happen.

2016 RS asking price is the same money as my new 19 3RS.2 is at list.

Are they done making 991 GT3s and RS? If so they have a long time to sell them before 992s arrive.

I got an email yesterday from a Porsche dealer with a list of GT cars for sale! How times have changed, last year the same dealer was making a big deal about their GT car list, this year they are calling to entice me to buy a GT car. I should respond with a ridiculous low-ball offer on a .2GT3 RS just for fun!

I remember when people were clamoring for Porsche to increase capacity. They have seen cycles long enough to avoid that mistake.

Maybe it's saturation of the market and speculations on the future release of the 2020 GT cars.

I mean, sell now while the market is still good and go for a 2020 allocation.

2020 MY GT3 won't happen and even 2020 calendar year delivery won't happen for 95% of future 992.1 GT3 owners (in North America)

If you truly understand Porsche's schedule it's clear they will announce the 992 GT3 at Geneva 2020 as a MY 2021 car. First deliveries to the US won't be until fall of 2020, and those first few months will be limited numbers only going to VIPs, whales, etc, or someone willing to pay insane ADM. This represents only 5-10% of 992.1 GT3 production.

The majority of 992.1 GT3 deliveries in North America won't happen until 2021, so outside of VIPs or the southern/warmest 20% of the USA, no one will be enjoying driving a 992.1 GT3 until April or later 2021!

So it doesn't make sense to wait at least full two years to enjoy a GT car! The 992.1 GT3 is not around the corner for most people, gents.

Realistically, It's 2 or more years away for 90% of us, so you might as well buy/drive a 991.1/991.2 GT3 for the next few years.
