Default 3M over Weissach Bonnet GT2RS?

Anyone applied film over the bonnet? Does it lay as smoothly? Any issues? Thanks

Mine has suntek ultra over the WP hood including the Porsche sticker. No issues. I think it makes the carbon “pop” more. I did the entire carbon roof as well.

Yes PPF is fine. I wouldn’t use 3M though. Their PPF is generally considered inferior to the market leaders, which are XPEL and Suntek/LLumar

Be worried about the removal when that comes. Make sure who you send to for that takes their time. In regards to the areas that are clear coat cf. but any one with experience should know this already . The install is no issue

Thanks Guys,

Does one wax the xpel/stek? or just wash? wax is OK? prefer to just wash n wax.
Is ceramic coating necessary?

How long before xpel/stek yellows or needs replacement?

Pardon my ignorance and your help appreciated

I usually get ceramic over my Xpel/Stek. Questions for the installer, will they back the warranty? Some give you lip service... Xpel/Stek are 10 year i believe. You will want to understand what that covers. I always treated mine with a spay on wax. I WOULD NOT use a machine to apply duet to risk of burning the film. Most shops like to have the car in once a year for a free film waxing or treatment.... These films are self healing... or they say they are. Hope this answers your questions.
