Default Why did you sell YOUR GT3?

Just curious why people sell these cars. Enough of this damn flipper talk. We are free to do what we wish, I just would like to know why you guys consider moving such a great car. I'll go first:

I REALLY want a 993 turbo. And I want it to be a sorted car, not a project. So 991.2 GT3 money. And I can't quite afford to keep both right now. I found the right 993TT and I want to move on it.

Go!

Got me, love my 991.1 and won't sell it until I can't drive it anymore.

Sold mine after 5 months because my local dealer gave me a 3RS position. My GT3 was at the dealer and not my exact spec. Easy choice for me. Drove it 2k miles and traded it in. Since then, the guy who bought it from the dealer drove it 4 months and traded it on a Ferrari I assume since the car is sitting at the local Ferrari dealer for sale with 3k miles.

I understand the want for a 993TT. Have one of those as well and wouldn't sell it for anything unless I found a really good deal on a 993TTS in a PTS color I wanted.

Thought I could daily my GT3 PDK and I might get into tracking....not ideal as a daily for many reasons...

TTS much better for daily use and occasional track fun ....and better overall car for my main use...very versatile car especially with the different sport modes....

Short term value retention on my MSRP 18 GT3 equated to price on 1 year old CPO TTS.....

Kept my 993 for a toy for the weekends and now daily the TTS...May buy CPO 991.2 GT3 for another toy when prices go down on the 991.2 to 100-110...possibly 3-4 more years...or wait for 991.1 to go to 80-90....similar time frame...

Btw, I made the mistake of driving a guards red '96 993TT and immediately knew it needed to be mine. My kids (7, 6) are constantly fighting to ride with daddy on his fun car trips and this 993 has back seats. It's the closest thing to raw and visceral as my 991.2 manual GT3 but more usable everyday.

993s are pretty good raw feeling cars for that special run on the weekend...without breaking all speed limits...

.1 GT3 sold to get .1 RS (because RS)
.1 RS sold to get Radical (because RS was track only for me so why not own a race car?)
.2 GT3 still in the stable

FWIW - 993 is pretty cool. Just pulled the trigger on one too.

Replaced mine with a 600LT. I plan to replace the 600LT with a 992 generation GT car, assuming they turn out good.

THAT garage has all of Private Collection Motors' inventory. My garage will hopefully include one chalk .2 GT3 and one silver 993TT.

Similarly replaced mine after 6500 miles with an inbound 488. Hope to get a 992.1 GT car, if anything just for another euro delivery. Just depends on dealer BS which I'm sure will be par for the course
