OP - I know you were going back and fourth on the manual vs pdk in a previous thread. From one GTS owner to another who is looking to get into a GT car any regrets on the manual?

NA430GTS - excellent question and I don't yet have an answer for you as my car is currently in the shop. It was flat bedded from the dealership directly to Moe. The only 991.2 GT3 I have driven thus far was a PDK at PEC LA. Part of my decision-making process was determining whether to trade in the 991.1 GTS (PDK) cab for the GT3. Once I decided to hold on to the GTS, I came to the conclusion that the GT3 driving experience should be as different as possible from the GTS. A key component of that was opting for a manual rather than a PDK. My GTS will remain my DD for LA's bumper to bumper commute. The GT3 will be my occasional daily driver and mostly a weekend fun car for going up the coast and for spirited driving in the canyons. Once I get some quality seat time behind the wheel of the GT3, I will definitely give my driving impressions of the GTS vs GT3 and on the PDK vs manual debate.

NA430 - If you want to come down from Nor Cal to kick the Touring tires and to see if the model is to your liking prior to taking the plunge, let me know. Any 991.1 GTS cab fan is a friend of mine.

Ruuddevil - Thanks for asking. She is still being worked on in Moe's shop. She is having paint work and window tinting first, followed by a full body wrap and nano coating. Moe will post some pictures of the car as it is being worked on and I will post pictures after all of the work is done, toward the end of April.

Here's the latest look at my light ivory GT3T as she undergoes her exterior transformation, courtesy of Moe and his expert team at Glistening Perfection in Costa Mesa. The side windows and rear windshield were tinted 40 and the front windshield was tinted slightly less than that (60, I believe). Exoshield was applied to the front windshield to help protect from windshield stars and cracks. The side view mirror arms and headlight washer nozzles are off for painting in light ivory. Next up is paint correction followed by a full wrap and nano coating. The car's externals will be further disassembled for application of the "seamless" wrap. More pictures to come. Thanks Moe!

beautiful interior and exterior. Are you considering a side stripe decal?

At the moment, I plan on keeping the exterior free of racing stripes and side stripes. I had the side stripes on my GTS for a couple of years. It was fun to have for a while but I was glad to take them off.

I hope you can resist selling it. Once you get beyond break in to about 1500 miles it really does become a different car. It takes a bit to loosen up that tight engine but well worth the wait. Incredible car.

Hey Tex - I am glad to hear you are enjoying your olive green beauty. It is awesome how the engine opens up with time. Maybe it is a placebo effect, by I am convinced that my 991.1 GTS's engine continues to get better with age (I am at 35,000 miles). No plans on selling the Touring. I bought this car to enjoy it for decades and to pass it on as an heirloom. I am a big fan of old Porsches. They look better and better with age (except, perhaps, the 996). 20+ years from now, I look forward to driving my "old-school," analogue, naturally aspirated and manual transmission GT3.
