I owned a GT4 and tracked it quite a bit and now own a 2015 GT3. The GT3 is much faster then the GT4 and I think handles better overall in stock form. (that's strictly my opinion on the handling:icon107:). You've driven the GT4 I think if you test drive a GT3 the differences will become very obvious and it will be an easy decision to make. Beware of 9K addiction!:rockon:

Price aside, you really should drive a gt4/gt3 to compare. They are completely different IMHO.

GT3 = sledge hammer - you’ll love it GT4 = scalpel - you’ll constantly be surprised by it in a good way do you want a hammer or a scalpel? |

991.1 GT3 prices have been softening and I still think they have some room to fall. Q4 2019 we will probably see some sell for <$100k. Remember list price is not selling price and there are a ton out there just collecting dust.

Do yourself a favor and take your wife for a weekend at PEC-ATL/LA. Do some driving in the GT cars and in the others with an instructor. These are all great cars and you may find your desires / needs are clarified from the experience :-)

This wont make me any friends but if the budget is 100k 991 GT3 of quality will be tough unless you wait it out a while and prices come down. If it were my money Id get an Evora 400 for $80k. Saves you $20k over a GT4. Wouldnt say its better than a GT4 but different and equal for $20k less. Subjective but love GT cars and that is only car Ive ever driven I thought was as good. |

I don't know why you'd even consider a 991.1 GT3 if your wife wants manual. My wife couldn't care less about my cars but if she wanted a particular feature in a car she was going to drive, I'd get it.

I think GT4 is great value and plenty of cars in low 90's.
Not seeing that GT3 is that much faster and have driven both. Plus if you want 3rd pedal GT4 wins. |

Evora 400
Evora 400/410 is an superb car...owned one for 2 yrs / 10k miles with multiple track days at Road America- just traded in last month for ‘19 GT3. The Evora has a great chassis, linear power delivery, and very confidence inspiring on the track while also being fairly compliant for day to day driving. Sounds great too despite the supercharged camry V6. No problems- rock solid for me although overall reliability cant be compared to Porsche. Loved the spartan interior. And it is clearly better than the GT3 in one important aspect- steering feel. The new GT3’s steering is very accurate but somewhat numb in comparison to the Evoras hydraulic rack. So for $80K- a new leftover Evora is a great choice (which *flamesuit on* from a purely driving perspective- i would take over a GT4 given the better gearing and steering)- would love to get the new Evora GT to complement the GT3 |
