No.

I have no reason to doubt that you’re sufficiently endowed.

I haven't driven the R yet but I imagine if it had some of the fun-factor of the (Carerra) T with the engine of GT3 it would be something very very special and the people who own them are lucky b*stards.

My GT3T:

my post #293 refers to buying a 911 T , its a cheaper alternative and would have some of the experience and lightness, it disgusts me to see heavily optioned 911 T and with a sunroof option?, sorry for the OT direction

I meant a touring but a manual T would be really nice too - to fill that manual itch.

Does anyone know the alignment specs difference if any with the R compared to Touring? If there is, it might be interesting to try it on my Touring??

Not sure that’s a good idea. I find the alignment of the GT3 and Touring about perfect for the road and track. Each car has alignment tailored to work with its particular springs, damper tuning, weight, aero, and rear axle steering tuning.

if you want the Touring to be more lively in the corners, you could play with sway bar settings (softer front and/or stiffer rear)

Yeah I tried to get as close to a stripper as possible. Problem is 95% of the inventory on the lots is horribly over-specced, which I guess is why this model hasn't sold well. I had quite a struggle to get what I could - but glad I did.

awesome car, good for you for not buying over spec'd overweight bloated, I was surprised to find out the Carrera T had gorilla glass, then disappointed to see so many with tons of heavy options, money that could've been spent on PCCBs was spent on PDK, or sunroof and other garbage, I think many dealers missed the point, it was an opportunity to get a lighter 911, weight is the enemy!

Here is my top 5 list of water-cooled 911s:

1. 997.2 GT3RS 4.0
2. 991R
3. 997.2 GT3RS 3.8
4. 991.2 GT2RS
5. 996 GT3RS

Excellent assessment and I'm in total agreement. I have spent time or owned all on list with exception of 996 RS. BTW, I have owned a 996 GT3.2 US version and it is not an RS or even close. But in fairness the 991.2 GT3 is still excellent and possibly number 6 on the list. If you own one, keep it. Also, although not a 911, the 981 Boxster Spyder deserves honorable mention. I have not driven the 718 yet, but it is heavier.
