Default WOW - Got my GT-3

I just had delivered the other day my dream car - 991.2 manual Guards Red GT-3! I sold a beautiful 2008 GT-3 that I loved and was concerned if I would like the 991.2 size, etc. All I can say is WOW. The new one is an improvement in every respect. If I had the room I would have loved to keep the '08 but with room for only one weekend car and a wife who already thinks I'm crazy, the 991.2 is the way to go. It really is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The ride in non-sport mode is fine on the street - my wife thinks so too - but when you switch it to Sport mode it sheds the sheep's clothing. Always wanted a GR car; I think the color is beautiful but definitely draws more attention than my Meteor Grey 2008 did.

The seller - Merit Partners in Georgia was fantastic. Burt Strange and Jonathan Hull were and remain great to deal with. Everything they promised on they have delivered. I have nothing but positives to say about them.

Being photographically challenged...rather than trying to post my crappy pictures here is a link to my car. https://www.meritpartners.com/featur...che-gt3-991-2/ It came with full front clear bra and an added bonus of a Shark Werks sport exhaust that I also had on my 2008 and I think sounds great without being over the top.

p.s. If anyone is looking for a great 2008 GT-3 here is a link to my car for sale at my local dealer. https://www.rusnakwestlakeporsche.co...ac29918s792085

Thanks for listening to my excitement.

"It really is a wolf in sheep's clothing"

You're kidding right? I also have a Guards Red GT3. Like yours - it is about as subtle as a sledgehammer. I'd say more like "a wolf in a wolf's clothing".

Congratulations - mine has been my absolute favorite car ever. With your car at Rusnak I'm thinking you may be in SoCal - I hope to see you around sometime!

Guards Red fits the winged GT3 perfectly! We just got out 991.2 GT3 Touring and I feel the 991.2 GT3 with the manual transmission truly embodies the spirit of the 997 version I had years ago. It's everything I liked about the 991 series and 997 GT3 in one!

Congrats to you. Very nice. Its the exact color inside /outside as my yr15 I just bought two weeks ago. It's good to see others liking the guards red.

Welcome to the GR GT3 club. I call it the Lazy Person's great color. Not much to think about when it's $0.

My first and one of my favorite 911s was a 2007 GR 997 Turbo with CF interior and GR painted seat backs and center console I picked up in 2009 with 700 miles on her. Should never of traded her in 2013 for an Audi R8 V10 Spyder which I only kept for 6 months.

Enjoy!!!! Love GR
